At Unique Senior Care, we know that good nutrition and hydration are essential for maintaining health and independence as we age. But with so much advice out there, it can sometimes feel overwhelming to know what really makes a difference.
That’s why, on Friday 28th March at 11:00am-1:00pm, we’re hosting a free community event to share practical, expert-led advice on eating, drinking, and ageing well. It will be held in the Activities Lounge at Tithe Lodge (Tithe Lodge, Little Park, Southam CV47 0JJ).
This event is part of Nutrition & Hydration Week, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the role of food and drink in health and wellbeing. Whether you’re looking to improve your own nutrition, support a loved one, or simply enjoy a relaxed and informative session with like-minded people, we’d love to welcome you.
What to Expect
We’ll be joined by our Learning & Development Manager, Jo Cleary, who will be sharing simple steps for a healthier you and how nutrition plays a key role in ageing well. Using trusted resources from the British Dietetic Association, Jo will provide practical tips that can easily be incorporated into daily life.
We’re also pleased to welcome Mina Hunjan, Clinical Pharmacist, who will be speaking about hydration and medication – exploring considerations around food and drink for those taking medications.
“As we get older, small changes to what we eat and drink can make a real difference to how we feel,” says Jo Cleary. “This session is about breaking things down into simple, practical advice that anyone can follow. And of course, it’s a great chance to meet new people over a cuppa!”
After the talks, there will be a Q&A session. This is where you can ask Jo and Mina any questions you have, as well as time to socialise and enjoy some light refreshments.
This event is completely free and open to everyone, whether you live at Tithe Lodge or are part of the wider community. If you’re joining us from outside, please enter via the main entrance on High Street, Southam.
